Locals are invited to lend a hand to the environment at the upcoming Collie River Community Busy Bee, held on Tuesday, 30th September at Soldiers Park in Collie.
As part of Clean Up Australia’s Spring Clean-Up Day, the event will see volunteers coming together to collect rubbish and complete tree guard maintenance along the Collie River — a vital waterway in the South West.
Organised by the Leschenault Catchment Council (LCC) in collaboration with the Friends of the Collie River, this event is part of the broader Community Caring for the Collie River project, an initiative focused on improving the ecological health and community connection to the Collie River. The project is supported by State NRM, South32 through the Shire of Collie, and Premier Coal.
