It’s on again….it’s time to Clean Up, Mackay Region!
Take part in an event near you and help intercept the Mackay region's litter before it reaches the ocean. Our region has one of the most significant catchment systems of the Great Barrier Reef so let’s protect our unique blue river, ocean, and ecosystems by pitching in to help.
This August we will be encouraging members of the community to lend a hand at any of the planned locations or even organise your own.

To say thank you to our volunteers for their efforts, Mackay Regional Council will plant five native plants, either as street trees or revegetation, for each person who participates at an event.Volunteers are advised to wear enclosed footwear, insect repellent, sunscreen and to wear a hat.
Children under 14 year old must be supervised by an adult.
