#SeaToSource
Clean Up Australia Day: Sun 5th March 2023

#SeaToSource, an initiative powered by Conservation Volunteers Australia, supports people around the country to take action on one of the world’s most solvable environmental issues – ocean litter.
The litter in our waterways and oceans is around 60-95% plastic which has a disastrous impact on the environment and the animals that call these places home. So, we’re committed to reducing the amount of litter entering our creeks, rivers, and oceans. Clean Up Australia shares this commitment, which is why we’re proud to be a Community Ally of Clean Up Australia.
Since starting #SeaToSource in late 2020, our incredible volunteers have removed over 17,000 kg of litter from nine major river systems across Australia, resulting in cleaner and safer catchments across the country. Our volunteering events also allow everyday Australians to meet like-minded people, learn new things, connect with their communities, and achieve real change for our environment. Inspired to join the growing #SeaToSource movement?
Join us this Clean Up Australia Day (Sunday March 5th, 2023) in partnership with Clean Up Australia, to “step up to clean up” our incredible waterways! You can join one of expert Project Officers at a CVA hosted event, where all tools and supervision are provided, or, you can create your own clean up event*
So, if you’re ready to be part of the solution to ocean plastic (and not the pollution), register for an event below today!
*If you wish to host your own clean up and register below via the ‘Create a Clean Up’ button, Clean Up Australia will send out a free Clean Up Kit, including gloves, bags and a first aid kit.
