As part of Clean Up Australia Day, Garden College is launching Waste-Free Wednesdays—a year-long initiative to reduce waste and promote sustainability.
What is Waste-Free Wednesday?
Every Wednesday, students and staff are encouraged to bring a waste-free lunch, meaning:
? No single-use plastic (e.g., cling wrap, chip packets, juice boxes)
? Use reusable containers, water bottles, and lunchboxes
? Bring fresh, unpackaged snacks like fruits and veggies
Why are we doing this?
? To reduce waste in our school environment
? To develop lifelong sustainable habits
?? To take action and be responsible global citizens
How can you participate?
- Pack a lunch with no plastic waste
- Use reusable containers, cutlery, and drink bottles
- Encourage friends and family to join the initiative
By making small changes, we can make a BIG difference! Let's work together for a cleaner, greener school.
