University of Queensland river clean up 2023
UQ students and staff and members of the local community are invited to help clear rubbish along the river bank.
It has been shown that collecting plastic waste near coasts is the most effective way to reduce plastic pollution, so come along and lend a hand.
Bring a water bottle and gloves. Closed shoes and sun protection essential. Cold water and gloves (for those that can’t bring their own) will be provided.
This event is hosted by the UQ Sustainability Office.
