The Terrys Creek bushland corridor is home to some iconic Australian wildlife, which is amazing in an area so close to the centre of a major city.
Unfortunately the creek's catchment area includes shopping centres, schools, major roads and tens of thousands of residences and businesses. Any waste that people using these places generate and that is not contained, ends up being rain and windblown into the stormwater system which dumps into Terrys.
Our family and friends will continue to assist our much loved local wildlife by removing as much of this litter as we can, before it either degrades and poisons the earth where it lays or is transported further downstream into Lane Cove River (and National park), Sydney Harbour and the Pacific Ocean.
