Yarran Dheran Nature Reserve
Yarran Dheran Nature Reserve is a bushland reserve situated on the southern bank of the Mullum Mullum Creek in Mitcham Victoria, in the City of Whitehorse. It forms part of an important wildlife corridor running from Croydon to where the Mullum Mullum Creek runs into the Yarra River at Templestowe. It is a mixture of original indigenous bushland and reconstructed bushland. It is a bit of 'real bush' only 20 km from Melbourne CBD which owes its continued existence to the local community who fought for a tunnel under the tollway as an alternative to Eastlink's proposed route through the Mullum Mullum Valley. The Yarran Dheran Advisory Committee has participated in Clean Up Australia for a number of years, with excellent community support
