Sunny Queen Clean Up Day: June 5TH

Sunny Queen Clean Up Day: Doing Our Part for a Cleaner Environment

As part of our ongoing commitment to environmental responsibility, we’re launching Sunny Queen Clean Up Day — a practical initiative that supports our Sustainability Strategy Plan (SSP) and aligns with several United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including:

  • SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production

  • SDG 13: Climate Action

This initiative is a simple but effective way for us to take direct action toward reducing our environmental impact.

Why Are We Doing This?

Litter and unmanaged waste continue to be a problem across Australia. They harm local ecosystems, contribute to pollution, and reflect poorly on community values. By taking part in a clean-up effort, we’re helping to:

  • Remove waste from the environment before it causes harm

  • Improve the appearance and safety of shared spaces

  • Show leadership as a responsible business committed to sustainable practices

Why Should You Get Involved?

This is an opportunity for all Sunny Queen team members to live our values and take practical action together. Your participation will:

  • Support our SSP environmental goals, particularly around waste reduction and community engagement

  • Strengthen our sustainability culture across the business

  • Contribute to a meaningful, measurable environmental outcome

How It Works

We’ll be organising a site clean-up at across all our sites on June 5th, timing is flexible across all locations. All team members are encouraged to participate. Clean-up gear and safety instructions will be provided on the day of the exercise.

Let’s Work Together

Our SSP outlines a clear path toward reducing our environmental footprint, and events like this are a direct reflection of that plan in action. Clean Up Day is not just about removing litter — it’s about showing our ongoing commitment to sustainability and taking responsibility for the spaces around us.

We look forward to seeing you there.
