CITO Crusaders - WCUD 2019 [Ryde]

“Cache In Trash Out® (CITO) is an environmental initiative supported by
the geocaching community. Since 2002, CITO has helped preserve the
natural beauty of cache-friendly spaces.”  More information at https://citocrusader.wordpress.com/.

Everyone is welcome and we look forward to CITO'ing with you for CITO 2019 Season 2 and the UNEP (United Nations Environment Programme)'s World Clean Up Day, and National Biodiversity Month.

By attending, you'll also receive a special digital souvenir from Geocaching HQ for taking part in the CITO 2019, Season 2.

  • Meeting point: opposite 3 Robinson Street, Ryde
  • Date: Saturday, 21st September 2019
  • Time: 8:00am (08:00) - 9:00am (09:00)
  • Bring: strong gardening-type gloves, sunscreen,
water and enclosed shoes. It is also recommended you wear a long sleeve
shirt, pants and a hat. Wet weather gear is also suggested in case of
    inclement conditions.

If you plan on coming along, please log a 'Will Attend'.

We will meet at the posted co-ordinates and split into groups to
tackle the stretch of Buffalo Creek and surrounding bushland, between
Laurel Park and the lower Field of Mars Reserve.

The CITO Event should last for about an hour and we will take a group
photo at the end. Feel free to continue cleaning up the site after the
official event finishes up.

This event is supported by Clean Up Australia and World Clean Up Day,
and it has been registered on their respective sites as an official
event, so we may be joined by members of the general public (a.k.a.
muggles).

Arrangements have been made with Ryde City Council to pick up and dispose the trash we collect on the day.
