Garran Clean Up

Sunday 14th Apr
As our first time volunteering at the Red Hill Clean Up, I recommend that people wear long pants because you can get hurt very easily by the grass. I also believe that it should be called the Garran-Red Hill Clean Up, as we didn’t even have to go to Red Hill before our rubbish bag was full.

Garran Clean Up

Sunday 21st Apr
Today we drove to the Embassy of Saudi Arabia, but there was not much rubbish there. My recommendation is to climb up towards Hume Highway because there is a lot of rubbish there from people throwing out their cars.

Garran Clean Up

Monday 29th Apr
Today we walked towards the trees in front of our house, and we were able to nearly fill up a whole rubbish bag from that area. Please don’t litter, especially outside of people’s homes.

Garran Clean Up

Sunday 2nd Jun
It was raining overnight and the rain washed the soil over the rubbish burying it under the ground.

Garran Clean Up

Monday 10th Jun
I’m back from the USA and there is still trash everywhere, but at least there isn’t as much as in SAN Francisco and it doesn’t smell like pee.

Garran Clean Up

Sunday 23rd Jun
Bones. Just bones. For the first few weeks I had been joking about finding a body or bones, then today bones suddenly appeared, with animal fur following right behind it.

Garran Clean Up

Sunday 7th Jul
Selling free tyres! Not really, but we did find a tyre lurking around the side of Hindmarsh Drive.

Red Hill Clean Up

Wednesday 17th Jul
We climbed up the sides of the hill and walked towards Hindmarsh Drive, wouldn’t want to slip!

Red Hill Clean Up

Monday 22nd Jul
So much rubbish was trapped under the short trees, so I had to crawl under them, making my job 10 times harder

Red Hill Clean Up

Sunday 28th Jul
Today we were on the side of Hindmarsh Drive and there were more bones and a decomposing kangaroo paw. There were also 4 tyres that I bounced on as if they were trampolines.

Red Hill Clean Up

Sunday 18th Aug
Red Hill Reserve - perfect place to have a party of the deceased animals. With all the bones scattered around, I might just be picking them up instead o rubbish.

Garran Clean Up

Monday 26th Aug
Today, was different. Nothing significant happened, and there weren’t even any bones this time. We were only able to fill up half of a rubbish bag before the area was spotless.

Saturday 14th Sep
Have you ever lost a golf ball? If so, come to me, as I have them all. Today, I picked up 9 golf balls of various different colours and designs just outside of the golf course. Now my parents have no excuse not to take me golfing, since I’ve always wanted to go and now we have 9 balls we can use for free.

Sunday 22nd Sep
I believe that there is a bird massacre, as feathers litter every inch of the golf course. Cars speed on by, so I need to be super careful when near the road. Luckily, I’m going to Sydney today, as I slipped on my butt multiple times.

Red Hill Clean Up

Sunday 6th Oct
Today, we walked along Hindmarsh Drive toward Red Hill and once we turned around, we went back on the other side of the fence. On the way back, I found a car key left on the road, but we decided to get rid of it so the car couldn’t get stolen. Having found 2 really large pieces of rubbish, I had to carry another bag home, holding like Santa.

Narrabundah Clean Up

Monday 14th Oct
If you’re in need of a spare wheel, look no further than . . . a tree! Today, we discovered not one, but two wheel hanging off of a tree branch. Also, I don’t recommend this place for picking up rubbish, because it’s all trapped under a mess of trees, forcing you to crouch and crawl your way through them.

Red Hill Clean Up

Wednesday 23rd Oct
Today, my mum discovered a decomposing carcass lying next to Hindmarsh Drive, along with it were many other bones, and even a spine. I also found someone’s worn and torn pants right next to a tree.
