Blackburn Lake Sanctuary

Blackburn Lake Sanctuary is one of the few significant remaining natural bushland reserves in Melbourne and the best-known bushland park in the City of Whitehorse. With its high-quality indigenous bushland, lake and wetlands, extensive walking-tracks and informative Visitor Centre, Blackburn Lake Sanctuary is a living reference to the natural and cultural history of the district.
Blackburn Lake Sanctuary is just that – a sanctuary, a place of protected habitat for plants and animals.
It is bordered by Central Road, Clifton St and Lake Road Blackburn. The car park entrance is off Central Rd opposite Gwenda Avenue. There are other ' walk-in' entrances in Lake Road, Central Road and Clifton St.
Our Clean Up event is on Sunday 5th March. All Welcome.
Registration from 9:45. It will finish with a 'litter count' at 12noon.
Meet outside the Visitor Centre.
