Awaba Bay

Awaba Bay Reserve is part of the Lake Macquarie Canservation Area and is 43 hectares of foreshore bushland. Our landcare group looks after this patch of bush with the National Parks Wildlife Service. On Cleanup Australia Day we collect rubbish from the lake edge and the road bordering the reserve. This is a beautiful part of Lake Macquarie and joining the cleanup is a great way to help keep it beautiful and have a great day out. You might even see an sea-eagle or a swamp wallaby.
