Lilley's Beach
Lilley's Beach is a 8km stretch of beach which is a marine turtle and shore bird nesting habitat and can be accessed at low tide provided you have a permit issued by the Gladstone Regional Council and comply with the rules. Each year we have a dedicated group of volunteers who join us to remove debris from the entire beach which we then sort and count for entry of data into the Australian Marine Debris Initiative database.
We then reward the volunteers with a free BBQ brekky provided by the Boyne Island Lions Club
